Guest This Tuesday!

Tim PicirilloPlease welcome our meeting guest Tim Piccirillo!

He has been performing magic professionally since the age of 15. He lived in a small town (4200 people) with the nearest city being 2 1/2 hours away yet he made a living with his magic. Tim has performed at birthday parties, private parties and school assemblies as well as corporate banquets and restaurants. In addition, he’s worked on cruise ships and comedy clubs.

“I’m a speaker who uses magic and humor to illustrate my points. I engage the audience as opposed to having the audience simply listen passively. I’m an ENTERTAINING speaker who INVOLVES his audience while motivating, inspiring and educating participants.”

See you all at CarePartners 7 pm this Tuesday, August 13th.

Q: You are the Co-founder of The Vanishing Wheel Chair Inc. What is it?

A: It has been created to help special needs people find their place in this world.

Q: What about magic tricks makes you happy?

A: I can use my comedy Magic to show people that all things are possible. You can have a dream, and it can come true. LOOK AT ME.

Q: What did you enjoy the most about performing?

A: I get to see people laugh and smile. I get to show people that life can be good. Even with challenges in your life, it can be good.

Q: What do you find most challenging?

A: Everything is a challenge. Getting out of bed, taking a shower, staying alive.

Q: If you had an unlimited amount of money and resources, what would your goal be?

A: To help special-needs people, like myself, find their passion and purpose in this world. I want to give them a reason for getting out of bed each morning. Too many people just give up, or give in.

Q: What piece of “life advice” can you offer readers?

A: Believe in something bigger than yourself. Call it whatever you want. If you do, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE………

“What an amazing story and more amazing and inspiring individual. Thank you for sharing this wonderful soul.”

Professor Whizzpop Friday!

Professor Whizzpop entertaining a crowd in June 2012

Asheville is abuzz with the news that WNC Magic Club‘s Tom Hughes, known and loved as Professor Whizzpop, presents a free show at The Hop West this Friday, September 21st at 6:30 PM.

Tom inspires great devotion among fans. Some have been found sleeping regularly with his coloring book and temporary tattoo.

Tom is equally devoted to those who adore him, performing recently with a fractured clavicle (look it up), a rite of passage for the serious cyclist. He’s now joined the likes of Tour de France winners and Mr. Twister-Asheville’s father, who met up quite suddenly with a charging Bull Mastiff (look it up) in 1989. Totaled the bike; dog was unharmed.

If you’re out and about Friday night in West Asheville, stop in for ice cream and big fun. See you there!
